Romain Lannes started his PhD in 2016 after a degree in bioinformatics from Toulouse III. He is mining metagenomic data using networks to look for new interesting sequences in the environment. He is involved in several projects including research of metabolisms of interest, study of microbial diversity, including protists, and the identification of sequences from extremely divergent organisms.
